My excitement about this is undeniable.

Oh I cannot tell you how excited I am about the new Dragon Age Game!
In the past weeks I may have mentioned Shadow of Mordor, but forget that! Old news fellas, old news.

With the US release for Dragon Age: Inquisition happening today, and the UK release just days away I thought a little post might be appropriate. I haven't played it yet, but on my opinion alone I think you should play it.

The chaps over at IGN were kind enough to make a little graphics comparison video.

That's nice of them isn't it? It is indeed.
So if you haven't ordered it yet, or maybe if you're still unsure what console to get it on this should give you a pretty good idea. Personally I'm a PC-gal. HOWEVER do keep in mind that the game is extremely demanding, and whilst I haven't played it yet I have a gut feeling that it might not run on some machines, that happens- so if you're unsure if machine lives up to the specs necessary and you have a console, go for that it's a save bet.

But if you have PC good enough, then buckle up for a beautiful game. From what I can see from the IGN video, the differences come down to - as they usually do- particles and lighting. Others have told me that on PC it does run at 60fps, which isn't always the case with consoles, so that's something to keep in mind too.
But either way this game should be a great experience and I can't wait to try it.

Just go ahead, scroll through those screenshots.... ohh yeaaaah.

So let me interrupt this with some little bits about the game.

The game is huge. I mean that. Its a known fact that the game has not ignored Skyrim, in fact it's hard to talk about the game without feeling reminiscent of Skyrim. The maps are huge, they are broken up into sections to unlock as you progress, in some choices you can even opt to destroy whole cities. In those cities further content of the game is obviously going to be destroyed as well, but those decisions will affect the further story line.

There is also some fun to be had with the multi-player. But I don't know much about it yet. You can watch BioWare's stream of it though.

And yes, in good old Dragon Age traditions there will be romantic possibilities to be pursuit with other characters, and story arcs that will end with well.... sexy time.

Now excuse me, until I have enough money scraped together from my dusty student corners, I shall be re-playing Dragon Age: Origins to tie me over.... and lets be honest who can ever say no to a bit of Skyrim.
